Tato — the fitness app that makes exercise fun

We built this project using a process refined over 12 years of mobile app development. The key advantage is working directly with the developer. No agency layer. No miscommunication. Tato is your personal fitness coworker that reminds you to move and stay active throughout your remote workday. Born from a simple observation — too many of us spend hours sitting without moving — Tato takes the opposite approach to traditional fitness apps with a playful, pressure-free experience.
The concept revolves around an interactive exercise wheel with over 80 exercises across 9 categories: Lower Body, Upper Body, Core, Back, Full Body, Cardio, Stretching, Balance, and Mobility. Spin the wheel, discover your next exercise, and perform it with built-in timers and rep counters. This element of randomness transforms each session into a surprise and eliminates choice paralysis.
Once the exercise is revealed, Tato displays a clear description with recommended time or reps, required equipment, and difficulty level. Four difficulty levels with equipment filtering let you customize the experience to your fitness level. If an exercise doesn't suit you, just tap "Skip" — Tato never judges.
Customizable workout reminders every 15 to 120 minutes keep you moving throughout the day. At the end of each session, a detailed summary presents completed exercises, skipped ones, total duration, and completion rate. The little Tato character always congratulates you with an encouraging message, regardless of performance.
The app includes achievements and level progression to keep you motivated long-term. Sound effects for timer start and completion add satisfying feedback to each exercise. Fully localized in English and French, Tato respects your privacy — no ads, no tracking, no data collection. All data is stored locally on your device.
